The heart of Rusty Bucket’s menu lies in its celebrated comfort food. Diners here can indulge in a variety of starters, such as the Double Stacked Quesadilla and the irresistible Spinach Con Queso, which patrons rave about for its unmatched flavor. My favorite restaurant in Indy. The food is so much better than you think it would be as bar food. The Juicy Lucy is the best burger in Indianapolis.

They've got a new menu (with higher prices) since our last visit. But they still have great happy hour specials. We came for dinner either friends. There was a short wait for a table because they were packed. The dining room was hopping with a great Friday night energy. The bar was full. I had a Juicy Lucy with a half Double Nickel Salad. The Juicy Lucy was fabulous as ever and huge (I saved half). The Double Nickel Salad is delicious with bacon and blue cheese and packed with flavor. I also had a martini (of course) which were on special. My husband had the Pork Tenderloin with fries. Their Pork Tenderloin is just about perfect. Our server was fabulous, attentive, friendly. Service is always wonderful. Parking is tight so we parked in the boonies.

First timers. We walked in and the bar was right in front of us so we went ahead and cozied up there. I didn't get the bartenders name but he was quick, kind and had a great attitude. Actually seemed like all employees did. We had a couple really cold beers and then decided to order some food. We started with a side of sweet potato fries and they were hands down our favorite we've ever tried. My husband went with the soy glazed salmon and he devoured it. I did the "trio" which was soup/salad/half a club. French onion was hot and oh so cheesy but the salad took the award for me (double nickel salad). Their house dressing pairs sooo nicely with the bleu cheese and bacon. It was so good. Took home the sandwich but ate it last night and it was also very good. Nice bar, nice little restaurant. I think they will see us a lot more.

Late evening, a long way north of home and hunger hits. Trust me when I tell you yelpers that Yelp never steers us wrong. This was a friendly well run restaurant with good food and service. I really loved my chicken sandwish and the wifes burger was excellent and well seasoned. We certainly never went thirsty as the waiter jumped in constantly to ensure we had drinks. I really liked this place and should we ever be stuck up north we will be only too eager to visit the Rusty Bucket...

Although the name makes it sound like a college bar, this really is a family place at dinner time, and it is a great choice for lunch during the work day. They also have a small private room that seats about 10. We were a group of four on a Saturday night. Hadn't seen one another for a while, so we were there for nearly 3 hours. Our server was very kind and took good care of us. We started with the spinach con queso, which was a perfect shareable appetizer because it comes on a tray with lots of salty chips. We were chatting so much I'm not sure what anyone else had, but my blackened salmon salad was fabulous! It was listed under salads but the salmon actually came on the side of the salad. The salad itself had strawberries in it and dressing already on it. Salmon was cooked perfectly exactly as I requested. Laurie took good care of us, easily handling separate checks right at the table.

A hidden gem! If you're looking for a cozy, welcoming place to watch the game and enjoy incredible food, Rusty Bucket is it! We had such a great time, and every single thing we ordered was amazing. We started with Bloody Mary's--perfectly mixed and tailored to our spice preferences: medium spicy for my husband, and stupid spicy for me (and it was a hit!). The nachos? Absolutely next level. These aren't your average nachos--they're hands down the best we've ever had, loaded with layers of cheesy, flavorful goodness. The French Onion Soup was rich, savory, and packed with comfort--total perfection. The blackened salmon with shaved fennel and Brussels was perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and beautifully balanced. And the pilsner-battered chicken fingers? "BEST CHICKEN FINGERS OF MY LIFE!" (yes, those are my husbands exact words). Crispy, juicy, and unforgettable. We finished with the pumpkin pie cheesecake, and it was the ultimate showstopper--a decadent, seasonal treat that stole the show. From start to finish, everything about Rusty Bucket was a win. We can't wait to go back!

Wow! Very nice place for a drink at the bar. Mixed crowd with a lot of activity and conversation. Happy hour menu is really nice too! Original franks wings were very good! This may be my "go-to" while in town! Highly recommend! Glad to hear it's a chain. Josh the bartender is a good guy!

The beef stroganoff was DELICIOUS! The service was friendly from all we interacted with and the prices were very fair. There's a large bar in the middle, surrounded by hi-top tables and booths. I look forward to coming back, next time I'm in the area.

It was my friends birthday and she requested to eat here. It was my first visit, and they were super busy on a Thursday night. We had a bit of a wait. It cleared out after their happy hour ended (which went til 6). The server we had was awesome. He was willing to answer questions and provide recommendations. Since it was her birthday he ever offered her a free dessert. My sandwich was great. Full of meat and plenty for 2 meals. I would come back here again
